AgTech Mission

As the world faces the looming vulnerability of its food security and self-sufficiency, the "operating system" of food needs to be more efficient, sustainable and resilient. We must all protect the earth’s resources, human rights and animal welfare to help solve the world’s hunger problem.

Good Company partnered with Agoro Carbon Alliance, Strauss, Smart Agro Fund, alongside LeumiTech, Meitar, ERB, Start-up Nation Central and AWS to invest and pilot with solutions that change how food and other agricultural products are grown, harvested, packaged, stored, transported, processed and sold - to improve productivity and boost sustainable agriculture.

As part of our mission to find the best companies to solve the world’s biggest challenges, Agoro Carbon Alliance, Strauss and Smart Agro Fund together with Good Company looked for startups with innovative technologies at the core of their solution, re-envisioning the "operating system" of food.

This mission called for agricultural technology companies that have a clear vision on how they can transition agriculture practices into a more efficient, resilient and sustainable one. Some examples include:

  • Smart farming and precision agriculture to “grow more with less”

  • Increasing resilience in the food chain and exposure to climate risk

  • Methods to create regenerative agriculture and aquaculture

  • Biotechnology and alternative foods that exploit biological processes for agriculture
